Stairs and getting around

The house has three levels and two interior staircases, and there is no lift. The entry level has two queen bedrooms, a full bathroom and the game room. One flight up, the kitchen, living room and king suite (with its own bathroom) share a floor, so once you are up, everything you need day to day is there. If stairs or luggage will be hard, message us before booking and we will tell you honestly whether it will work.

Pets and cleaning

This is a pet-friendly home: one dog, up to 55 lbs, can stay with prior approval. A pet fee of $55 per night applies, up to a maximum of $300 per stay, with no deposit. For stays longer than 5 nights, message us before booking and we will send a direct quote with the cap applied. Service animals are always welcome. If you need a pet-free stay, tell us before booking and we will check the dates around yours. A professional cleaning team turns the house over between every stay.

What it costs

Nightly rates change with the season, so the live calendar below shows the exact price for your dates. Book direct and the total is typically about 10% below the same dates on Airbnb, including a 4% booking fee that covers card payments and the booking system. Stays of 7 nights or more get 10% off, and stays of 28 nights or more get 15% off. If your dates are ever cheaper on Airbnb, message us before you book and we'll match the total. A one-time cleaning fee is added at checkout, and the live total shows every charge.

How close is it?

About 8 minutes by car to the Texas Medical Center, 9 to MD Anderson and around 10 to Texas Children's. It is not a walkable distance. Most guests drive, parking is free on the street right in front of the house, and the Dryden/TMC light rail station is a 3-minute drive away.

Can we cook and do laundry?

Yes. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking, and the washer and dryer are inside the house. Those two things matter more with every week of a stay.

Can a caregiver and family stay too?

Yes. Three bedrooms sleep 6, so the patient, a caregiver and family can stay under one roof instead of splitting across hotel rooms.

What if treatment dates change?

Treatment schedules change. We know that. Message Gbade before you book and we will talk through the flexibility we can offer for your dates.

How long do most guests stay?

Many come for a few days of appointments; others stay for weeks of treatment or recovery. The house is set up for both.
